Height Limits
In unincorporated Spalding County, no fence may exceed six feet above adjoining ground level, and front-yard fences are capped at four feet across nearly every residential and lower-intensity commercial zoning district. Fences cannot encroach into the public right-of-way. Community Development enforces the limit under Zoning Ordinance Section 404.

Material Restrictions
Unincorporated Spalding County allows barbed wire and other sharp, pointed fence material only on AR-1 and AR-2 land, and only to contain livestock, plus on the county's heaviest commercial and manufacturing zones. Every other residential and lighter commercial district is barred from using it under Zoning Ordinance Section 404.
