Flood Elevation

In Terrebonne Parish's coastal high hazard zones (V1-30, VE, V), the Gulf-exposed areas most at risk from hurricane storm surge and wave wash, new construction and substantial improvements must be elevated on pilings or columns to or above the 2021 IBC minimum. Breakaway walls, fill bans, and dune protections under Sec. 9-60 add hurricane-specific standards on top of the parish's general flood elevation rule.
