Pacific Time. 040 extends it to the owner, operator or employee of an establishment who knowingly allows a minor to stay during those hours. 050 lists exceptions: a minor accompanied by a parent or guardian; one carrying the parent's written permission describing the errand, timing, and points of origin and destination; one commuting directly to or from a job; one responding to or affected by an emergency; one returning directly from a supervised school, religious, recreational or City-sponsored activity; one exercising First Amendment rights; and a married or legally emancipated minor.

050(B) if it promptly calls Huntington Beach police to report a minor on the premises who refuses to leave. 060, an officer with reasonable cause may demand a minor's name, address, and parent or guardian information, and proof of age or a legitimate reason for being out; violators may be cited and released to a parent or guardian, released in the field, or taken to the police department. A parent who knowingly lets a minor violate curfew can also be charged under California Penal Code Section 272. 110 separately labels curfew violations a public nuisance.
