Upland, CA Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

The City of Upland sets park hours and a related curfew under Title 9 (Public Peace, Morals and Welfare) of the Municipal Code. The park-hours provision (in Chapter 9.04, Offenses Generally) states that all municipal parks in the City are closed from 9:00 p.m. each night until 7:00 a.m. the following morning, and any person who remains in a municipal park during the prohibited hours is guilty of a misdemeanor. This is a general closure that applies to everyone, not only minors. Separately, Section 9.12.040 establishes a 'Market Night' curfew: it is unlawful for any minor to be in or upon public streets, parks, playgrounds, public buildings, or other public places, during the period from 8:00 p.m. on the evening of the City-sponsored Market Night until 6:00 a.m. the following day, within the Market Night outdoor area and all public property within 20 feet of it. The Market Night outdoor area is bounded by 'A' Street on the south, 1st Avenue on the west, 'C' Street on the north, and 3rd Avenue on the east. The Market Night curfew includes standard exceptions (for example, a minor accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or engaged in lawful employment or constitutionally protected activity).
