West Jordan, UT Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

West Jordan's parks operate on a fixed seasonal and daily schedule set out in City Code section 8-13-2. The open season begins the first Monday in April and runs through the first Sunday in October; outside that window, parks are closed to the public until the following April. m. City recreational facilities, including the arena, and concession stands are never open to walk-in use: they may be occupied only by an approved reservation or permit, though the city may designate periods of public access to the arena.

The city administrator holds broad discretion under subsection (C) to close any park, or any area within a park, during otherwise-open hours for safety, landscape or athletic-field preservation, or maintenance and repair work, and need not give any more reason than public health, safety, or the city's convenience. When a park or facility is reserved, subsection (D) lets the permit holder exclude the public from the reserved area during the reserved time, and that area is treated as closed. Subsection (E) makes it unlawful to use, occupy, or enter a city park during a seasonal, daily, or other closure, or during a reservation period, unless the person holds the reservation or permit covering that specific time.
