Section 13.12.1.B addresses the corner lot specifically: where a rear yard faces the street on one side, a fence may run 7 feet high along the rear property line and the building setback line, but any fence crossing that setback line, whether at the front or the side, drops to a 4-foot maximum. Section 13.12.2 sets the baseline for every front or street yard: fences on corner and interior lots alike cannot exceed 4 feet, and must sit back at least 1 foot from any sidewalk within the right-of-way; within the unincorporated Metropolitan Planning Commission jurisdiction, residential front-yard fences additionally need Special Exception approval except on R-A Residence Agriculture-zoned property.

Section 13.13.1 layers a separate visibility rule on top of the height limits at any intersection of public rights-of-way: no fence, wall, hedge or planting may obstruct the view between 3 and 10 feet above street grade inside the clear visibility triangle, though trimmed tree limbs and foliage above or below that band are allowed. Table 13.13.1 sets the triangle's size by the street classification meeting the corner: 15 feet along an alley, 30 feet along a local street, 60 feet along a collector, and 120 feet along an arterial, each measured from the intersection along the street lines.

The Zoning Officer can modify the triangle when the City or Parish Engineer finds it necessary for traffic safety, and the standard does not apply at all within the B-5 district.
