Section 6-2-12 sets height limits by yard type for residence districts: three feet in the front or corner side yard, four feet for open (see-through) fencing at that same lot line, and six feet behind the corner side yard line or in the required interior side or rear yard. Fences can reach nine feet where a residential lot line abuts a non-residential use or a major arterial right-of-way. Every fence over three feet requires a fence permit under Subsection 1-9H-1.3.7. Section 6-2-13 separately bars fences and landscaping from a 30-foot corner-lot sight triangle that would block drivers' view of cross traffic.
