Sunrise Land Development Code Sec. 16-191 (amended by Ord. 402-24-C, June 11, 2024) sets fence height by yard. Front-yard fences and walls max out at 4 feet and must sit at least 3 feet back from the sidewalk. Side-yard fences are 4 feet from the front lot line to the building line, then 6 feet for the remaining side yard; rear yards allow 6 feet. Hedges follow the same limits. On corner lots, nothing over 30 inches is allowed within 25 feet of the intersecting street right-of-way lines, and Sec. 16-193 keeps a visibility triangle clear between 2.5 and 8 feet.
Code Enforcement issues a notice to correct; a non-compliant fence must be lowered or removed. Unresolved cases go to the special magistrate with daily fines under Chapter 2.
