Georgia legalized consumer fireworks in 2015 (GA Code ยง25-10-1+). Local jurisdictions may restrict hours but cannot outright ban them per ยง25-10-5.1. Atlanta allows use 10 AMโmidnight generally and until 1 AM on designated holidays. Fireworks must be used on private property with owner consent. Fireworks on public property (parks, streets) are not allowed. Atlanta Fire Rescue enforces. The state collects a 5% excise tax on fireworks sales earmarked for trauma care.
