Fireworks may only be sold and discharged on dates set by the Utah State Fire Marshal. Discharge is banned within 100 feet of any sales location, within 20 feet of any structure, west of SR-111, and on City-owned property without written consent. Retail stands must post the legal discharge dates, keep a 25-foot clear zone free of combustibles, carry a rated fire extinguisher, and cannot sell to unaccompanied minors. Violations of the Part carry a $1,500 fine. The City's Noise Control chapter separately bars fireworks or explosive discharge that is plainly audible at 50 feet, or that occurs between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
