Home businesses get a single advertising sign under § 13-11-2J: "Advertising signs shall be limited to one unanimated, nonilluminated wall sign for each dwelling. " No animation, internal or external illumination, or freestanding placement is allowed, and the only other identification permitted is a standard mailbox label. Title 12, the citywide sign code, repeats the identical two-square-foot, one-sign rule at § 12-3-3H, so a resident cannot use a different sign type authorized elsewhere in the sign chapter, such as an A-frame or banner, to advertise a home occupation.

Because signage sits inside the broader Chapter 11 standards, a sign that violates § 13-11-2J also puts the underlying business license at risk: § 4-2D-2 conditions license approval on meeting every Chapter 11 standard, and the City Zoning Administrator can deny or pull a license over an oversized or illuminated sign found on inspection. The two-square-foot cap is small enough that most home businesses rely on the permitted mailbox identification alone rather than a wall sign, since anything larger, brighter, or animated exceeds the ordinance regardless of the underlying business type.
