Full Breakdown
Table 5.2-A of the Denton Development Code marks Home-Based Business "P" (permitted) in all 16 base zoning districts, from Rural Residential through Public Facilities, as long as it stays accessory to a legally established residential use. The operator must be the property's owner or tenant, no more than two non-resident employees and four patrons may be on site at once, patron visits are barred between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and only one business-marked vehicle no larger than a pickup or panel truck may be kept on the premises.
Violations & Fines
Exceeding the employee, patron, hours, or vehicle limits is a zoning code violation; Development Services can cite the property and revoke the home occupation's accessory-use status.
