No more than one non-resident employee or assistant may work on site at a time, and only one customer or client vehicle is allowed at the premises at any given time. Direct retail sale of products or merchandise from the home is prohibited, and certain uses - including medical marijuana dispensaries and tattoo services - are expressly barred as home occupations. Outdoor storage and storage of business materials outside the dwelling are not allowed. These rules let residents run low-impact businesses without rezoning, while keeping neighborhoods residential.
Operating a home business that exceeds the size limit, draws extra traffic, employs more than one outside worker, or conducts on-site retail sales can result in code-enforcement notices, fines, and revocation of the business license. Prohibited uses (dispensaries, tattooing) are not allowed at all.
