The Municipality and the State of Alaska Department of Transportation (which operates ANC) participate in FAA Part 150 noise studies and maintain avigation easements in the Sand Lake, Spenard, Turnagain, and Mountain View neighborhoods. Residents in noise-impact zones are advised at purchase via real estate disclosures. JBER training flights (F-22, C-17, C-130) are coordinated with the Airspace Community Council but are not subject to municipal curfews.
