During quiet hours (10 PM to 7 AM), any amplified sound plainly audible beyond the property line is a violation. Daytime amplified music is allowed but must be reasonable under community standards. Commercial venues, breweries, and outdoor restaurants along Spenard Road, downtown 4th Avenue, and Midtown that host live music need event permits if the sound will project beyond the property line. APD can issue on-scene citations and, for commercial repeat offenders, the Clerk can review the establishment license.
