Section 15-13-8 of the Ogden City Code sits in Chapter 13, 'Regulations Applicable To All Zones,' so its light-trespass rule applies in every residential, commercial and manufacturing district in Ogden City, not just one overlay. Subsection A bars any spotlight or floodlight installed so its direct rays penetrate a residential zone or land used for a residential purpose, meaning a property owner or business next to housing cannot point security or yard lighting so the beam crosses the line. Subsection B adds a second, traffic-safety rule: no light, sign or advertising structure regulated under Title 15 may sit at a street intersection where its position, shape or color obstructs clear vision or could be confused with an authorized traffic control device using words like STOP or DANGER.

G requires parking lot and security light sources to direct light downward through shields or fixture design, caps the light angle at sixty degrees from vertical, forbids any direct view of the light source from a residential side or rear yard, and requires half of parking lot lighting to be shut off an hour after businesses close except lighting kept on for security. Enforcement of the citywide rule runs through Section 15-1-17, administered by the Community and Economic Development director.
