Coral Gables, FL Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

Section 3-411 of the Coral Gables Zoning Code makes it unlawful to park any truck, trailer, commercial vehicle, or recreational vehicle on residential property, public or private, anywhere in a residential district. Exceptions are narrow: vehicles fully enclosed in a garage, licensed contractor vehicles working on-site between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (with the company name on both sides), mobile cranes during construction, and one unmarked pickup truck with an empty bed, no commercial equipment, and four or fewer wheels. Active loading or unloading is capped at two hours and barred from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. within a residential district or within 100 feet of one. Section 3-412 separately bars these vehicles from streets and public places overnight. Violations draw a $100 civil penalty under the city's code compliance schedule.
