Summary

Except as otherwise provided in this Section or as permitted by posted sign, it is unlawful for a person to stand, park or store, upon any street adjacent to a residence district, public school or public park, a commercial vehicle, recreational vehicle, trailer, or any combination of vehicle and trailer having an overall length of twenty-four feet or more or an unladen weight in excess of eight thousand pounds.

City code makes it unlawful to stand, park or store a commercial vehicle, recreational vehicle, trailer, or vehicle-trailer combination 24 feet or longer, or over 8,000 pounds unladen, on any street next to a residence district, public school or public park. Loading/unloading and active service, repair or construction work in the neighborhood are exempt. RV owners can get a Parking Services Division permit for up to 48 hours of curbside loading, capped at six uses per vehicle in three months with a 72-hour gap between permits.
