Pittsburg, CA Parking Rules: Commercial Vehicle Restrictions (2026)

Under Pittsburg Municipal Code Title 10, commercial vehicles including semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, box trucks, dump trucks, and any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 10,000 pounds are prohibited from parking on residential streets except during active loading or unloading operations, which are limited to brief periods (generally 30 minutes to 1 hour). Overnight parking of commercial vehicles in residential zones is prohibited entirely. Construction vehicles at active job sites may be permitted with construction permits and adherence to specified hours. Business vehicles used as personal transportation (work vans under 10,000 lbs GVWR, pickup trucks) are generally allowed if they do not display large advertising and are registered to a resident.
