Commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, vehicles with 2+ rear axles) are generally prohibited from parking on residential streets in Portland except for up to 8 hours while loading/unloading. Commercial vehicles may not be stored on public streets as business property.
PCC 16.20.120(H) prohibits trucks, truck trailers, motor buses, utility trailers, drop boxes, storage containers, or vehicles with two or more rear axles from parking on public rights-of-way adjacent to residential, school, park, or church property β except when actively loading/unloading for up to 8 hours. In commercial/industrial zones: parking allowed 6 AMβ4 PM for up to 4 hours, or 4 PMβ6 AM for up to 2 hours if adjacent to operating business. It is unlawful for any vehicle repair or sales business to park vehicles on public streets in their custody (PCC 16.20.160). Vehicles exceeding 22 feet in length are prohibited on residential streets (PCC 16.20.190).
