Commercial vehicles over one-ton gross capacity, tow trucks, ambulances, mini-buses, and clearly commercial vehicles are restricted from parking in residential zones in Stockton. They may only park for immediate loading/unloading or if not visible from the street. Overnight parking on public right-of-way is prohibited.
Commercial, company, and nonprofit organization vehicles with gross load capacity greater than one ton, or vehicles clearly commercial in nature (tow trucks, ambulances, mini-buses, vehicles with commercial signs), cannot park on private property in residential zones except for immediate loading or unloading of goods or people, or if not visible from the street. Overnight parking of commercial vehicles in a public right-of-way in residential areas is prohibited. Tractor-trailers with or without trailers are prohibited from parking overnight on residentially used property and cannot park on commercially used property for more than 72 hours.
