Lake Havasu City, AZ Parking Rules: Curb Color Rules (2026)

Section 10.12.080.A gives the Operations Director or a designee authority to erect signs or designate curb areas as restricted parking, and specifies that no parking restriction becomes effective until the sign is erected or the curb is actually painted, so an unpainted, unposted curb cannot be enforced as restricted. It is unlawful for any person to stop or stand a vehicle in disobedience to whatever restriction the sign or paint establishes. Subsection B ties the color scheme to the Uniform Traffic Control Manual and lists four colors: a red curb bars parking, standing or stopping at any time; a yellow curb permits only the loading or unloading of cargo or material; a green curb allows limited-time parking only, as indicated by accompanying signage or lettering; and a blue curb is reserved for disabled-person parking with a valid placard or license plate.

Lake Havasu City's separate limited-time parking rule at § 10.12.060 confirms that green paint is the standard marker the Operations Director uses for time-restricted zones, including any required lettering on the curb itself stating the time limit.
