Bostonia, CA Parking Rules: Driveway Rules (2026)

Bostonia is unincorporated, so the County Zoning Ordinance sets driveway standards. Section 6792 requires that, except in Agricultural zones, 'all parking spaces, loading spaces, and driveways shall be hard surfaced with durable asphalt concrete or Portland Cement Concrete surfacing on a suitably prepared base.' It adds that 'Parking spaces and driveways accessory to single-family and duplex dwellings need not be surfaced with a more durable type of surfacing than that which exists on the access street.' Driveways designated for fire access must support fire apparatus (minimum 50,000 pounds) unless the Fire Authority requires more. Required parking areas may not be used for vehicle storage or sales without a permit.
