Titusville, FL Parking Rules: Driveway Rules (2026)

City Code § 20-58, titled Miscellaneous parking regulation, governs where a vehicle may sit on a residential lot. Subsection (a) is the core rule: there is no off-street parking in the front yard, side yard (street side) or rear yard of a single-family dwelling except as normally exists in a driveway or in a designated parking space or area. The section then layers on separate limits for trailers. Subsection (b) caps how long an owner may keep a travel trailer, camper trailer, cargo trailer or boat trailer on residential property at twelve hours, with an exception for licensed trailer dealers selling new or used units on land zoned for trailer sales.

Subsection (e) lets travel trailers, camper trailers and boat trailers of any length, plus cargo trailers up to fourteen feet, park on private residential property only if the trailer sits behind the front building line with its forward point at least twenty-five feet back from the front lot line, or is kept in a carport or garage, or is parked in the driveway area while still leaving room for two passenger cars to park off-street without blocking the sidewalk. Subsection (f) extends the same rule to self-propelled mobile homes and bars using one as a living unit while parked in a residential district.

Subsection (d) separately makes it unlawful to use any trailer or mobile home as a dwelling on a lot outside a licensed trailer park anywhere in the city. Subsection (g) bars parking a trailer or mobile home on any public or private street, park or public property for more than two hours, and bars using a parked vehicle for camping, sleeping or living quarters between sunset and sunrise on public property. Violations are enforceable by towing under chapter 20, article II, and are otherwise punishable under section 1-15 of the code.
