Titusville, FL Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

Sec. 20-58 of Titusville's Code of Ordinances, cross-referenced by the Land Development Regulations at Sec. 28-365 for every residential zoning district, bans off-street parking in the front, rear and side yards of single-family homes outside normal driveways and designated parking areas. No property owner may permit, and no person may keep, a travel trailer, camper trailer, cargo trailer or boat trailer on private property for more than twelve hours, except under the section's specific parking allowances, and licensed trailer dealers selling new or used unoccupied units at a properly zoned location are excepted from that limit entirely.

Where the twelve-hour rule does not apply, travel trailers, camper trailers and boat trailers of any length, plus cargo trailers up to fourteen feet long, can park on private property in any residential district three ways: behind the front building line with the trailer's most forward point at least twenty-five feet from the front lot line; inside a carport or garage; or in the driveway area used for passenger cars, as long as enough room remains for two passenger cars to park off-street without blocking the sidewalk.

Self-propelled mobile homes follow the same placement rules and can never be used as a living unit while parked in a residential district. Using any trailer or mobile home as a dwelling on a lot outside a licensed trailer park is prohibited citywide. On public property, a trailer or mobile home cannot sit longer than two hours, and using one for sleeping or living quarters while parked is banned unless the location is publicly designated for that use.
