Full Breakdown
Town of Babylon Traffic Code § TC-3-4 lets the town designate curb uses street by street in Schedule K. 'No parking' zones bar parking during posted hours or at all times; 'no standing' zones bar even brief waiting; 'no stopping' zones bar stopping for any reason, including loading. Bus stops are reserved for buses only, and taxi stands are reserved for taxis, which may not be left unattended there. 'Metered parking' and 'angle parking' designations carry their own separate rules. These curb designations apply throughout the town's unincorporated hamlets, West Babylon, North Babylon, Deer Park, Copiague, Wyandanch and the others, wherever posted signs mark a restricted zone.
Violations & Fines
Stopping, standing, or parking in a posted no-standing, no-stopping, bus-stop, or taxi-stand zone is a ticketable offense; vehicles left in violation may be towed and stored at the owner's expense.
