Clay, NY Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Chapter 211's Article III, Parking, Standing and Stopping, treats loading zones the same way it treats every other on-street parking restriction: § 211-26 does not itself set hours or list a location, it simply says the locations described in Schedule XXII are hereby designated as loading zones, and leaves the actual designation to the schedule. Schedule XXII, codified at § 211-55, is the place those designations would appear, listing columns for Name of Street, Side and Location the same way Clay's other numbered schedules do, but the schedule's entry in the current code reads only (Reserved), meaning the Town Board has not designated any street or portion of a street as an on-street loading zone under this chapter.

That leaves commercial deliveries in Clay governed by the general provisions of Article III rather than by any loading-specific curb rule: § 211-17 exempts a vehicle that must stop to avoid a traffic conflict or comply with a police officer's directions, and the Town's other schedules, such as parking prohibited at all times, no standing and time-limit parking, apply to a delivery truck exactly as they would to any other vehicle unless the Town Board later amends § 211-55 to add specific loading-zone locations.
