Jurupa Valley, CA Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Loading zones in the unincorporated county are created and marked under County Ordinance 413, Section 1.9. The Board of Supervisors delegates to the Director of Transportation the authority to establish loading zones and passenger loading zones; the Director sets their locations after an engineering study and field review documenting the need, and marks them with appropriate signs and curb colors. The ordinance defines the curb colors precisely: Red means no stopping, standing or parking at any time (except a bus may load or unload in a red bus zone, and a posted taxi zone permits only taxicabs). Yellow means no stopping, standing or parking between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any day except Sunday and holidays for any purpose other than loading or unloading, and limits passenger loading to no more than five minutes and material loading to no more than twenty minutes. White means no stopping except as long as necessary to load or unload passengers or to deposit or pick up mail at an adjacent mailbox. Green means stopping or parking is allowed for the time limit specified by posted signs or curb-top stencils. Section 1.10 adds a 15-foot no-parking buffer around community mailboxes to keep mail delivery clear.
