Kyle, TX Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Section 47-34(a) gives the city manager's designee authority to pick the location of curb loading zones and requires signs or markings that both identify the zone and state the hours during which it's in effect, so a loading zone can be time-limited rather than a 24-hour restriction. Subsection (b) lets the designee also create temporary loading-zone parking spaces for special events or circumstances by posting signs giving notice of the temporary designation, adding short-term loading capacity around festivals or construction without amending the code. Subsection (c) is the operative prohibition: no one may stop, stand or park in a marked curb loading zone for any purpose other than the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers or freight, and only during the hours the zone's regulations are in effect; parking there outside those hours, or without actively loading or unloading, is a violation.

The civil penalty schedule at § 47-203(e)(1) lists 'parked in loading zone' as a Level One violation carrying a $30.00 civil fine, the same flat rate as other basic parking infractions.
