Full Breakdown

Chapter 10-14 governs curb loading zones citywide. In a marked freight curb loading zone, Section 10-14-3 restricts use to expeditious loading, unloading, delivery or pickup of materials between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, with no stop longer than 30 minutes. Commercial vehicles using a freight zone must also display a City-issued, nontransferable loading zone sticker, obtained from the police department for $25.00 per permit. Passenger curb loading zones are separately capped at three minutes under Section 10-14-2.

Violations & Fines

Stopping without a sticker, outside 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays, or past 30 minutes violates Sec. 10-14-3; the City may remove the vehicle and fine violators under Sec. 1-3-1.
