The Code defines a large vehicle for this purpose as any vehicle greater than eighty inches in width, twenty feet in length, or greater than ten thousand pounds in gross vehicle weight, meaning ordinary sedans and light pickups fall outside the rule while box trucks, larger pickups towing loads, buses and similarly sized equipment fall inside it.
