Anaheim parking regulations require that motor vehicles, motorhomes, trailers, campers, and boats be parked on paved surfaces only β not on lawns or yard areas. Residential Permit Parking permits will not be issued to recreational vehicles or trailers. RVs and boats stored on private property must be operable and registered. Large commercial trucks and trailers cannot be parked in residential neighborhoods except when actively loading or unloading. AMC Chapter 18.42 establishes residential parking requirements including minimum garage spaces. RV storage should not obstruct sight lines at driveways or intersections. Oversized vehicle parking on public streets is regulated by a specific ordinance. The city adopted Ordinance No. 6245 addressing oversized vehicles in residential areas. RVs may not be used as permanent or temporary residences while parked on residential property.
RV/boat on unpaved surface: code enforcement citation. RV occupied as residence: code violation. Oversized vehicle blocking access: citation.
