Under Garden Grove's oversized vehicle parking ordinance, parking of oversized vehicles on city streets without a valid permit is prohibited. Oversized vehicles are defined as those exceeding 22 feet in length or 80 inches in width, and include all recreational vehicles of any size such as motorhomes, travel trailers, camping trailers, boats, and off-road vehicles. Attached and unattached trailers of any size are also included. Residents and visitors may obtain free oversized vehicle parking permits online at ggcity.org/oversized-vehicles or in person at Garden Grove City Hall. Each permit allows parking adjacent to the resident's home for up to 72 consecutive hours. Commercial vehicles may not be stored on residential properties.
Vehicles parked without a valid permit are subject to citation and towing. Oversized vehicle parking violations are enforced by the Garden Grove Police Department and Code Enforcement.
