GGMC Section 8.47.060 specifically lists radios, musical instruments, stereo equipment, televisions, and other sound-reproducing devices as regulated items. In residential areas, these may not be operated between 10 PM and 7 AM in a manner that disturbs persons of normal sensitivity. During permitted hours, amplified music is subject to the ambient-plus-5-dB property-line standard under Section 8.47.050. Events requiring amplified sound outdoors may need separate permits from the city. The city also enforces noise provisions in commercial and industrial areas adjacent to residential zones during nighttime hours.
