Garden Grove enforces street parking time limits and prohibits leaving any vehicle parked in the same location for more than 72 hours. Oversized vehicles require free permits and are limited to 72 consecutive hours adjacent to the resident's home.
Under GGMC Title 10, vehicles may not remain parked on any public street for more than 72 consecutive hours. After 72 hours, vehicles are subject to citation and towing as abandoned. Street sweeping regulations require vehicles to be moved on designated days. Oversized vehicles (over 22 feet long or 80 inches wide, including all RVs, trailers, and boats) require a free permit and may park for up to 72 hours adjacent to the resident's home only. No parking zones, restricted hours, and permit parking areas are posted with signage. The Garden Grove Police Department enforces parking regulations citywide.
Vehicles parked beyond the 72-hour limit are subject to citation and towing. Street sweeping violations result in parking tickets. Illegally parked oversized vehicles without permits are also subject to citation and towing.
