Ankeny Code of Ordinances § 69.12(1) prohibits parking a boat, camper, recreational vehicle or motor home, alongside a motor truck over one ton or various trailer and tractor units, on any portion of any City street at any time. The rule reaches the street right-of-way rather than private driveways or yards, so an RV or boat parked in a homeowner's own driveway is not reached by this section; it is aimed specifically at leaving such vehicles parked at the curb or along a roadway. The only exception written into the subsection is for such reasonable time as may be necessary to load or unload passengers, freight, or other merchandise, meaning an owner can briefly stop to hitch or unhitch a boat trailer or load camping gear but cannot leave the vehicle standing on the street afterward.

Because the subsection applies at any time, there is no daytime-only or overnight-only window; the ban runs continuously, unlike some of the chapter's other limits that only kick in during specific hours or seasons. Section 69.01 separately authorizes the City to post additional restricted zones by traffic control device, so certain streets may carry even tighter postings. Enforcement runs through the Ankeny Police Department and community service officers, and § 70.04 allows a citation or fine notice to be attached to an unattended vehicle when the driver is not present, with § 70.05 presuming the registered owner parked the vehicle.
