Bensalem Township Chapter 144, Article II, Division 2, limits how long a recreational vehicle can sit on a public street. Sec. 144-41, adopted by Ord. No. 90-18 in August 1990, bars any owner, lessee, bailee, or other possessor of a recreational vehicle from allowing it to remain parked on any public street or roadway of the Township for more than 24 consecutive hours. Sec. 144-42 defines a recreational vehicle broadly, covering any vehicle, self-powered or towed, intended primarily for leisure or recreational use, and lists travel trailers, motor homes, boats, boat trailers, utility trailers, manufactured homes, snowmobiles, and all-terrain vehicles as examples; the definition was expanded by Ord.

No. 99-14 in 1999, and the chapter cross-references the Township's separate gokart chapter, Ch. 111. The division's text reaches only public streets and roadways, so it does not, by its own terms, reach a recreational vehicle parked on a private driveway or lot. Sec. 144-43 sets enforcement: violations are prosecuted before a District Justice, who may proceed by warrant or summons at the Justice's discretion, and every day a recreational vehicle remains parked past the 24-hour limit counts as a separate offense, with fines paid to the Treasurer of the Township for the Township's use.
