City Code § 30.33.30(a) limits residential storage of recreational vehicles, boats and trailers to property where the vehicle's owner resides, on a paved or approved all-weather driveway. Front yard storage is allowed only when rear or side yard space is unavailable or inaccessible, and the vehicle must be parked perpendicular to the front curb, may not overhang the public sidewalk or right-of-way, is limited to one unit per residential lot in the front yard, must sit at least three feet from side and rear property lines, and cannot block required parking spaces.

Subsection (b) bars using a stored RV or trailer as a dwelling, prohibits permanent sewer, water or electrical hookups (temporary charging connections are allowed only to ready the unit for use), and bars using it to store goods or equipment unrelated to the unit itself. Subsection (c) excludes oversized commercial vehicles and special mobile equipment, as defined in § 15.62, from this article entirely, meaning they cannot be stored on residentially zoned property under any of these allowances. The community development director or a designee approves the driveway surface.
