Sec. 13-7(c) sets the general parking rules in Title XIII, Chapter 7 of the Southaven Code. Paragraph (3) confines noncompliant vehicles to a completely enclosed garage. Paragraph (4) bars Class 3 or greater commercial vehicles, with a heavy duty pickup exception, and any trailer exceeding sixteen (16) feet in length from residences and residential streets, except for immediate service and delivery purposes.
Violations & Fines
Sec. 13-2(b) makes the city planner and staff designated by the governing authority responsible for administering and enforcing Title XIII. Under Sec. 13-2(c), the proper authorities can bring any appropriate action to restrain, correct or abate a use in violation of the title. A person who knowingly and willfully violates it is subject to fines according to state law, imprisonment up to thirty (30) days, stop work orders for development and/or a revocation of privilege licensing and certificates of occupancy.
