Deer Park regulates on-street parking through the Code of Ordinances and Texas Transportation Code. Vehicles must comply with posted restrictions, clearance requirements near hydrants and intersections, and must be parked facing the direction of traffic.
The City of Deer Park regulates street parking under the traffic provisions of the Code of Ordinances and applicable Texas Transportation Code sections. Vehicles may not park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, or 30 feet of a traffic signal or stop sign. Parking is prohibited on sidewalks, across driveways, in fire lanes, and in any posted no-parking zone. Vehicles must be parked on the right side of the roadway facing the direction of traffic. All parked vehicles must display current registration and be in operable condition. Vehicles parked on streets must not obstruct traffic flow or sight lines. The Deer Park Police Department enforces street parking violations. During emergency situations including industrial shelter-in-place events, additional parking restrictions may be enacted to maintain emergency vehicle access. Contact non-emergency police at (281) 479-2525 for parking enforcement questions.
Street parking violations are enforced through citations issued by the Deer Park Police Department. Fines vary by offense. Vehicles blocking fire hydrants, fire lanes, or emergency access may be towed immediately at the owner's expense.
