Humble regulates on-street parking through the Code of Ordinances and Texas Transportation Code. Vehicles must comply with standard clearance requirements from fire hydrants, intersections, and driveways, and must park in the direction of traffic flow.
The City of Humble regulates on-street parking through its Code of Ordinances and applicable Texas Transportation Code provisions. Vehicles may not park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, or 30 feet of a stop sign or traffic signal. Parking is prohibited on sidewalks, in front of driveways, within fire lanes, and in posted no-parking zones. Vehicles must be parked on the right side of the street facing the direction of traffic flow. On residential streets, parking must not obstruct the free flow of traffic or emergency vehicle access. Given Humble's proximity to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), some streets near the airport may have additional posted parking restrictions to manage airport-related traffic. Oversized vehicles and trailers may face restrictions on narrow residential streets. Street parking is enforced by the Humble Police Department.
Street parking violations are enforced through citations and fines by the Humble Police Department. Vehicles blocking fire hydrants or fire lanes may be towed at the owner's expense. Blocking a fire lane carries enhanced penalties.
