La Grange, MO Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Section 350.010, Standing or Parking Close to Curb, requires that except as otherwise provided, every vehicle stopped or parked on a roadway with adjacent curbs be stopped or parked with its right-hand wheels parallel to and within eighteen (18) inches of the right-hand curb, effectively requiring cars to park facing the direction of traffic on their own side of the street rather than against the flow. Section 355.010.A then lists absolute no-stopping zones (on the roadway side of another parked vehicle, on a sidewalk, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, near a safety zone, alongside an excavation, on a bridge or tunnel, on railroad tracks, or where signs prohibit it), while Subsection A.2 adds a set of no-standing zones except for momentary passenger pickup or drop-off: in front of a public or private driveway, within thirty (30) feet of an intersection, within fifteen (15) feet of a fire hydrant, within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, within thirty (30) feet of an approach to a flashing signal or stop sign, and within twenty (20) feet of a fire station driveway (seventy-five feet on the opposite side if posted).

Section 355.010.B further bars moving an unlawfully controlled vehicle into any prohibited area or away from a curb an unlawful distance. These sections are enforced by the Police Department City-wide.
