Milton, WI Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Section 70-157(a) of the Milton Code of Ordinances lists four specific places a vehicle cannot be left except temporarily while actually loading, unloading, or picking up or discharging passengers with a licensed operator attending the vehicle: a loading zone or business-district alley, within ten feet of a fire hydrant or mailbox unless a sign marks a greater distance, within four feet of an alley, private road or driveway entrance or blocking it outright, and any spot that obstructs traffic. Subsection (b) adds a second layer of always-prohibited parking, regardless of loading activity: double parking on the roadway side of an already-parked vehicle unless official signs allow it, parking outside or across the marked boundaries of a parking space on a public street or public parking facility, and parking in a space reserved by sign for a vehicle displaying a disabled registration plate or card issued under Wis.

Stats. 51, unless the vehicle is actually being used by a physically disabled person as defined in Wis. Stats. 503(1). Subsection (b) further bars parking on private property against a posted sign restricting it, and parking alongside any curb marked yellow to extend a parking restriction.
