Sammamish, WA Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

On-street parking in Sammamish is regulated by SMC Chapter 46.30 (Stopping, Standing and Parking). The core limit is SMC 46.30.060, which makes it unlawful for the owner, driver or person in charge of a vehicle to let it stand or be parked on any city street for more than 72 hours consecutively. SMC 46.30.050 prohibits parking an unlicensed vehicle in the public right-of-way. SMC 46.30.070 (Prohibited parking places) makes it unlawful to stop, stand or park in a marked bicycle lane except to avoid traffic conflicts or follow an officer or traffic-control device, and it adopts by reference the statewide prohibitions in RCW 46.61.570 and RCW 46.61.575. Those state rules bar stopping, standing or parking on a sidewalk or planting strip, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within 20 feet of a crosswalk, within 30 feet of a stop sign or signal, and in front of a driveway.
