Weston, FL Public Conduct: Public Alcohol Use (2026)

Weston Code of Ordinances Section 83.03 sets three overlapping bans on public alcohol consumption. Section 83.03(B) makes it unlawful, absent a City Special Event Permit expressly allowing it, to consume any Alcoholic Beverage on any area available for public Motor Vehicle parking, or on any public Street, Highway, or sidewalk, where that area adjoins or is adjacent to an establishment in the City that sells or dispenses Alcoholic Beverages. Section 83.03(C) separately bars anyone, including the licensee's own employees or agents, from selling, serving, or knowingly permitting consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage on a Motor Vehicle parking area adjoining a licensed alcohol establishment, again absent a Special Event Permit.

Section 83.03(D) is the broadest bar: no Person may drink or consume Liquor, beer, or wine on any public Street, in any Public Park, or in any other government-owned or operated Public Place, unless that place is itself licensed by the City for alcohol sales, or the City has issued a Special Event Permit for the occasion. These bans sit within Chapter 83, which also fixes alcohol sales hours in Section 83.04 (no off-premises or on-premises sales between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. absent an Extended Operating Hours License under Section 83.06) and package-store distance separations in Section 83.02.
