Operators should also note that the 2025 amendments added record-keeping obligations: hosts must maintain records of guest stays, dates, guest counts, costs, and taxes for two years following the calendar year of the stay.
Failing to maintain proof of insurance during the permit term, or submitting false documentation, is grounds for permit revocation or non-renewal under §27-629. Two violations of any STR provision within a single year result in non-renewal.
