Full Breakdown
Brick Township's sign ordinance requires anyone posting a sign advertising a flea market sale, garage sale, yard sale, or outdoor sale to take it down within three days after the sale ends. The rule sits in the Land Use Chapter's general sign regulations, which govern all signage townshipwide, not in the separate chapter that sets the three-day sale duration and $5 permit requirement. The Zoning Officer enforces sign compliance; garage and yard sales themselves also need a Township Clerk permit posted at the sale site.
Violations & Fines
Leaving a garage-sale sign up past three days violates § 245-313; sign and Code violations carry up to a $2,000 fine, 90 days in jail, or community service, with each day a separate offense.
