Table 193-1 in Sec. 27-193 sets it out. In single-family residential districts you may display up to three single- or double-faced signs, each no more than three square feet per side. In nonresidential and multi-family districts there is no limit on the number of single-faced signs, but each is capped at sixteen square feet. Either way the display period is a maximum of four months out of any twelve-month period, with final removal seven days after the display period expires. Sec. 27-191 bars temporary signs from public rights-of-way and from medians of public or private rights-of-way, and requires the property owner's permission before any temporary sign goes up.
Violations & Fines
A temporary sign that violates the sign law and is not removed within seventy-two hours of notice is treated as discontinued; the city may remove and dispose of it and recover its removal, storage and disposal costs from the owner.
