' Section 66-37 lists what the application must include: the applicant's name, home address, Social Security number, date of birth, sex and physical description; the employer's name and contact information; a description of the goods or subject matter to be sold or solicited; whether the applicant will peddle from a vehicle, pushcart, pack or basket; vehicle details if applicable; and disclosure of any prior license revocation or criminal conviction. Applications for commercial peddling or soliciting go to the business license officer at least 15 working days before the applicant intends to start, while charitable or noncommercial solicitation applications go to the town clerk's office instead.

Subsection (e) bars a license to anyone convicted of a felony within five years, anyone who has violated the chapter before, or anyone whose license was previously revoked, and subsection (f) sets a minimum age of 16. Section 66-38 makes each license valid for one calendar month, running from the first day of the month to the last, with the fee set under Section 26-101 and waived for noncommercial or charitable solicitation. Section 66-40 caps the town at issuing 'no more than 20 peddler and/or solicitor licenses' each calendar month, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis after the business license officer investigates the application's accuracy.
