The city's standard pavilion reservation fee is fifteen dollars per hour on Monday through Thursday and thirty dollars per hour on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays, both with a four-hour minimum booking, under Sec. 22-10(a) of the Code of Ordinances. Several specific facilities carry their own schedules set in the same section: Koehler picnic area and pavilion run twenty-five dollars per hour on weekdays and thirty-five dollars per hour on weekends and holidays under Sec. P. Schnabel Park charges the same twenty-five/thirty-five dollar split plus a flat ninety-dollar kitchen-use fee under Sec.

22-10(c), and Cypress Pavilion charges fifteen dollars weekdays and thirty dollars weekends under Sec. 22-10(d). A user may reschedule a booking one time at no charge by giving the Department of Parks and Recreation at least thirty days' notice. Cancellations made thirty or more days before the reserved date get half the reservation fee refunded; cancellations inside that thirty-day window get no refund at all. Larger or alcohol-involved gatherings layer on additional permitting: Sec. 22-1(c) lets the director of parks and recreation issue a special permit allowing alcohol possession and consumption at an otherwise dry park for a specific event, and Sec.

22-28(a) requires a written special events permit from the same director for any gathering that needs to use a park outside normal operating hours. Clubhouses, community centers and larger venues such as HemisFair Park and Alamo Plaza are billed under separate fee schedules in the same chapter, so organizers should confirm which facility-specific section applies before booking.
